Visit Easter Island

Easter Island is located in the pacific ocean miles away from other landmasses in the Pacific Ocean steeped in history, intrigue and culture. Originally a place where early Polynesian settlers inhabited as a result of their previous islands being engulfed in the sea. The culture has flourished and survived many years even after 2/3 of their population being wiped out by disease brought by sailors all those years ago.

The Island remains in the colony of Chile and can take up to 5.5 hours to get to from the nearest landmass. Once you arrive on the island you have the opportunity to absorb the local culture and the breathtaking views. Most of all it gives you the chance to go and visit the giant monolithic statues or Moai that the apparent depiction of the islanders ancestors for blessings and safeguard for the local village of the inhabitants. it may be a bit of a long journey but once you get there it will be an experience you will never forget.
