It’s incredibly frustrating when prices soar during school holidays. For teachers and parents who want to go away, it can make it almost unaffordable to visit certain destinations. Here are some of our tips for saving money on school holiday breaks:
- Book either very early of very late. Booking as flights become available will give you better prices as airlines compete. There are also some very good last minute deals if you aren’t too fussy about where you go.
- Check different destinations. Some websites will let you search all destinations and filter by prices to show you the cheapest ones first. This gives you the option to go anywhere in the world that happens to be a bargain.
- Book all inclusive. If you are looking for the cheapest break possible, this is definitely the best value for money that you’ll get. Your meals and drinks will be included as part of the price, as well as the accommodation and flights. This will also prevent you from overspending once you arrive.
