Following on from the recent general election people often pointed to the north/south divide in England as one of the primary reasons between the electoral split. The working class North vs the Southern softies; focused on wealth and self preservation. While it’s an easy distinction to make (especially looking at the breakdown of votes across the country) but it’s not necessarily as simple as it looks. Wealth might be located in London but there are hot spots around the country that draw the wealthy to them.

Despite that, big business is in London. The movers and shakers, those keen to establish themselves in an ultra competitive work environment and a city that takes no prisoners. But outside of the M25 lies some real beauty; with coastal locations only a short jaunt away in both easterly and southerly drives (and even Brighton is only a stone’s throw away from the city.) The south has it all; not to mention Cornwall if you’re willing to go that far. You should. it’s the best.
