City Hotels are, for many people, a great, cost effective way to set up a holiday. What do I mean by that? What they do is give you a base of operations in the city where by you can plan the rest of your holiday around it. Are there sights in the city you want to see? Maybe some other places you fancy going to or checking out while you are there. The hotels themselves though very rarely offer any kind activity to keep you busy, maybe on a rainy day or if your kids are bored.
Resorts, on the other hand, do tend to cater to families a little better. Pool tables, all you can eat meals 24 hours a day, swimming pools, beaches and all kinds of various activities to keep both you and your family entertained. The downside is that you don’t tend to have too many things close to the resort itself.
