There are so many options nowadays, and it can be hard to know what kind of accommodation you should choose when you head off on holiday. Here, we outline some of the things to think about when deciding where you want to stay whilst you’re away.
Apartments and Cottages
These are a great option for people wanting to be independent. They will usually come with some kind of cooking facilities, so you might be able to save some money on food. However, check what is included – there might sometimes not be towels or bed linen available without paying an additional amount. You may also be expected to pay a deposit in case anything is damaged in the property.
Hotels
This is a great option if you want a base for you holiday. There will often be options to choose meals and breakfast, especially if you stay somewhere all inclusive, or on a half board basis. You will usually get a daily cleaning service as well.
Caravans and Holiday Parks
The cheap, cheerful and fun option is often to stay in a caravan or holiday park. Space may be limited, but chances are you will be able to get yourself a bargain. This is a great idea if you have small children as there will usually be activities for them to join in with.
